Students Organize Haiti Relief

Students recently formed an ad hoc committee to oversee the raising of funds to help the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.  They first collected money from fellow students and will be donating those funds to the Jewish Federation Haiti Relief Fund.   Students also collected new and gently used shoes and dontated them to Soles4Souls and Sport Chalet.   Students will be sponsoring “Sk-Haiti-a Thon” on Sunday, February 21 from 3-6pm at Woodland Hills Ice located at Westfield Promenade, 6100 Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Woodland Hills.  The proceeds from this event will be matched up to $2,500 by the NCJHS Student Council.  Students will be selecting the relief organization to whom these funds will be donated.  For more information, please contact Faculty Advisors, Batya Ansell or Becca Hailpern at (818) 348-0048.
