Jodi and Greg Perlman

For Jodi and Greg Perlman, volunteerism and philanthropy seem to just come naturally. Jodi has been an active supporter of education since the early ‘90s when her own children first started school. Jodi was a very involved parent volunteer at their grammar/middle school. Both have worked with numerous charities in particular those focusing on disadvantaged youth primarily in the foster care system. In 2009, Greg and Jodi set up the Perlman Foundation to specifically help 30,000+ low income residents that reside in Greg’s nationwide affordable housing properties. Some of the foundation grants include college scholarships, down payment assistance, summer camps, after- school programs and health and wellness programs for the elderly.

Since the Perlman’s first affiliation with NCJHS, they have become among the school’s strongest supporters. Jodi, a member of the NCJHS Board of Trustees and currently a member of the Executive Committee, has twice co-chaired the Annual Campaign. Recently, both Jodi and Greg took on the tremendous responsibility (along with the Masors and the Sambols) of co-chairing the NCJHS Capital Campaign.

Jodi is an accomplished businesswoman who co-founded the Soto Boutique and Soto Lifestyle chain. The Soto stores are well known for their friendly ownership as much as for their unique and trendsetting fashions. Jodi’s warm and winning personality has led to her often being dubbed as the "unofficial mayor" of the San Fernando Valley. Greg is the owner of GH Capital which owns and operates a nationwide portfolio of affordable housing properties. His management company, PK Management, is one of the most diversified mid sized companies in the United States and is consistently recognized for its commitment to the environment and to its residents.

The Perlmans are committed to the expansion of Jewish education nationwide and to the support of Israel. Most importantly, they are dedicated to each other and loving parents to three remarkable children, Jordan (‘11), Matthew (‘12) and Brooke (‘16) who already follow their parents’ footsteps by being involved with many generous, kind and giving activities.
