Founding Date:
New Community Jewish High School opened its doors to 40 ninth grade students on September 3, 2002.
Geographic Distribution of Students:
New Community Jewish High School welcomes students from throughout Greater Los Angeles. While the school draws students from an area of more than 1,000 square miles, most of its families reside in the San Fernando, Conejo and Santa Clarita Valleys. Currently, students come from the following communities: Agoura, Bell Canyon, Beverly Hills, Beverlywood, Brentwood, Calabasas, Camarillo, Canoga Park, Chatsworth, Cheviot Hills, Encino, Granada Hills, Hidden Hills, Los Angeles, Malibu, Moorpark, Newbury Park, North Hollywood, Northridge, Oak Park, Pacific Palisades, Reseda, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Simi Valley, Studio City, Tarzana, Thousand Oaks, Topanga, Valencia, Valley Glen, Valley Village, Van Nuys, West Hills, Westlake Village, Winnetka, and Woodland Hills.
Campus / Facilities:
New Community Jewish High School is currently located on the campus of Shomrei Torah Synagogue, nestled in the foothills of the west San Fernando Valley. Facilities include classrooms, multi-purpose rooms, Sanctuary, Chapel, outdoor patios, cutting-edge science labs, a fully equipped art room, a fully equipped computer lab, a College Guidance Center, administrative offices, and a faculty center.
In the Fall of 2013, NCJHS plans to open at its new campus in West Hills at the Bernard Milken Campus (Vanowen Street between Fallbrook and Shoup Avenues). The new campus, complete with auditorium, pool, and gymnasium, is being renovated in phases. NCJHS Jaguar teams’ home courts and facilities for basketball, dance, volleyball, and wrestling teams are located at the new campus. Nearby parks and other sports facilities serve as our home fields/courts/tracks for baseball, cross country, flag football, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, swimming, track & field, and equestrian.

59 teaching faculty members: 100% hold a B.A. or B.S. degree (or a teaching credential from an Israeli University), 46% hold Masters Degrees, 14% hold Doctoral degrees.

Summer Program:
Academic courses are offered in the summer for acceleration, enrichment, and remedial purposes for students from any high school. Course offerings and enrollment information is published in the late winter.
Bus Transportation:
NCJHS offers bus transportation for a fee to/from a wide area including Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. This includes two daily bus routes, a late bus to accommodate students involved in sports teams or other after-school activities, and a morning bus shuttle. Bus transportation details are published during the summer for the upcoming school year.
